This publication of international best practices for the use of

Congress of the World Union of Wound Healing Societies (WUWHS) in
Toronto, Canada. The consensus document was developed, based on
research evidence and the consensus opinion of an international
group of experts, to provide guidance on the successful integration

A new large multicenter randomized controlled trial shows a
significantly greater proportion of diabetic foot wounds completely
healed with V.A.C.® Therapy, compared to advanced moist
wound therapy. The study also showed significantly faster wound
healing, a reduced number of secondary amputations and no changes
in therapy associated complications.
