Clinical Account Executive, Various locations
Based out of Head office location we are currently seeking
Clinical Account Executives for various locations
including (but not limited to) Ontario, Eastern and Western
Canada.
The Clinical Account Executive:
- Works with assigned accounts to clinically advance existing
customers and achieve account revenue maintenance and growth
targets
- Prospects new account opportunities within assigned accounts
with Key Decision Makers and influencers
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with key physician
specialty types; key wound clinicians and nurse managers
- Able to gain access to all key wound therapy influencers and
decision makers
Participates in account business reviews
- Able to participate, direct and lead all high level education
to key clinicians and physicians (i.e. V.A.C.® Labs,
Grand Rounds, Resident Skill labs etc.)
- Addresses customers concerns and requirements in a manner that
leads to creative alternatives other than price concessions;
selling value not price
- Directs and/or redirects conversations with customers on
desired clinical outcomes by demonstrating effectiveness of KCI’s
products and therapies
- Ability to build close and long lasting relationships by
networking with targeted key customer contacts based on mutual
respect, trust and credibility to maximize business
opportunities
- Proficient in using KCI’s selling model to effectively
demonstrate the clinical and cost effectiveness of KCI products and
support through relevant research
- Proficient demonstration of selling KCI product line based on
the customers desired outcomes and needs
- Ability to work in a team environment driving strategic plans
and growth drivers to maximize penetration of KCI products into the
market place
- Utilizes knowledge and understanding of competitive products
strengths and limitations to educate customers in decision-making
process
- Reports all activities regularly, efficiently, and consistently
in COMPAS data system
- Performs other duties as assigned
Experience
- Minimum 2 years sales experience
Medical background in certain districts (where applicable)
- Previous experience in a sales or product consultant capacity
preferred
- Medical device industry experience preferred
Education
- Post-secondary level education in health-related field
- Post-graduate qualifications in science or medicine viewed
favourably
- Must successfully complete all currently designated training
programs for this position
Personal Characteristics
- Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of medical terminology,
provincial funding knowledge by sector and third party payer claims
required
- Has demonstrated appropriate therapy use within their current
designated territories
- Ability to cover large geographic boundaries
- Demonstrates excellent consistent communication to all team
members and management to ensure transparency and business driver
potential
- Proven clinical/science sell success preferred
- Must successfully complete all currently designated training
programs for this position
- Ability to work weekends and on-call when required by scheduled
basis
- Computer proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Must be willing to travel by commercial air to attend scheduled
business and KCI corporate functions when required
