Pulsation Therapy
TheraPulse® ATP™
Pulsation Therapy can be effective in managing oedema and pain,
using small pockets of air, individually inflated and deflated, to
cause a pulsation wave. The pulsation wave runs from the foot to
the head of the mattress.
Clinical benefits
Improves blood flow
- Pulsation Therapy improves capilliary blood flow, increasing
oxygenation to the wound and skin
Encourages lymph flow
- Lymphatics have little contraction ability in their own right
and rely on movement to stimulate lymph flow
- Pulsation Therapy mimics the body’s natural intermittent
movements stimulating lymphatic flow
- Reduction in oedema increases blood flow and reduces
pain
